YOUR CHARITY
Continuing our success from April, we are going to have Safe Place as our May Charity.  We are collecting personal items (shampoo, soap, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes etc) to create bags for the members of safe place. A special thank you Nancy Owen of Alegra’s Invitations for donating the gift bags for our supplies to be placed in. Please help out this worthwhile cause. If you have any bags you can bring along, please do. If you have any questions, contact amanda@neawp.org.

Don’t forget to “keep the change and pay it forward”. Empty out that  change jar in your car and donate to this monthly cause. The money will be used at Christmas for Toys for Tots!

YOUR POLICIES

1.     The 2010 meeting fees are $30.00 per meeting for current NEAWP members. Payments received after the deadline or at the door will be assessed a $5.00 fee.
2.     Guests are always welcome. They need to be added to your RSVP list and you will receive the reservation confirmation. The 2010 guest meeting fees are $50.00 per non member
3.     If you show up to the meeting without a reservation confirmation, the cost will be $35.00 per current NEAWP member and $55.00 per guest.
4.     You can pay with any major credit card via PayPal on our website by simply going towww.associationofweddingprofessionals.com/ca_meeting.com then click the meeting you would like to attend. All PayPal payments must be received by Monday May 3, 2010 at 12:00pm. All checks must be made payable to: NEAWP.  Any payments received after the deadline or at the door, will be assessed a $5.00 fee.  The 2010 NSF fee for checks is $50.00.
5.     To ensure your reservation at the meeting, RSVP to amy@nuptialessentials.comYou will receive a confirmation reservation email. Bring a copy of your confirmation email  to the check in table the day of the meeting. If your RSVP changes after May 3, 2010 at 12:00pm you will be charged the full meeting amount.
I look forward to seeing you all at the meeting! Our meeting will be kept within the time allotted so you can get back to making lots of money!

WHY?
In efforts to meet the requests of our members, NEAWP hospitality committee is organizing an evening happy hour to accommodate our members and prospective members who cannot make it to our day meetings. Do you want to meet other members and wedding professionals on a casual basis? Chat with them about the wedding industry with no formal presentation? Then come to the happy hour!

WHO?
Anyone who would like to be in the industry, know about the industry or just wants to meet other industry professionals. If you have employees you want to “get their feet wet” send them to the happy hour.

WHERE?
The Belmont. Where else would you want to be on a Wednesday night than a cool, hip and fun site downtown?

COST?
Nada, Zip, Nothing. You buy your own drinks and food.

April Showers and SEO Stuff

The meeting this month was all about gaining more awareness about your wedding business through website SEO. Thank goodness for our guest speaker Wendy Covey of Trew Marketing to take the time to explain it all!

New Mentor Program

As mentioned in the March Meeting-- the mentor program is starting.. Do you want to pick the brains of established wedding professionals? looking for some free information? come to our first mentor Coffee Talk on Tuesday, march 30,2010 at 10:00am at the offices of Babara's Brides. Come one come all! The mentor panel for March is Amy Mader and Barbara Hearne. Email barbara@barbarasbrides if you are coming. There is no fee!

March Madness Meeting!

As always, our monthly NEAWP meetings are a great time and a wonderful way to meet new wedding professionals as well as hang out with good friends. This month, our focus is on mentoring, charity, and raising the bar for professionalism in the wedding community!

February Monthly Meeting


Our latest focus for NEAWP this year is to select a charity every month and provide support for each organization. On top of that, this month's meeting hosted by the beautiful Intercontinental Stephen F. Austin Hotel also focused on helping out the Firebats Junior League baseball team as they make their way to nationals. With a new team of board members, Nuptial Essentials has decided to remain not only a leader in event planning education, but also to become a leading resource for brides in the wedding industry.
